Benefits of a Local Funeral Director
One of the most important tasks following the passing of a loved one is selecting a funeral director. Often times, if this is the first close death in the family, spouses or children might not know where to go and become stressed. At Mannal Funeral Home, we have been in business for 78 years, and we understand that families need a trusted adviser who has a lifetime of experience making funeral arrangements.
Janice H. Mannal, Supervisor for Mannal Funeral Home, is the daughter of the funeral home’s founder, Robert L. Mannal. Janice began her career with Mannal Funeral Home in 1969 and continues to be an active member of the Philadelphia community. She was the first woman to serve as President of both the Philadelphia Funeral Directors Association and the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association. In 1996, Janice received a Gubernatorial appointment to the Pennsylvania State Board of Funeral Directors, where she served as a member of the Board for 10 years, eventually earning the role of Chairman, becoming the first woman to receive the honor.
David V. Peake, Jr., funeral director at Mannal Funeral Home, is the grandson of Robert L. Mannal and son of Janice H. Mannal. He is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
